In 2023 India Post GDS (Gramin Dak Sevak) application form required candidates to fill in their “Post Preference Number.” This number is used to indicate the preference for the different posts available in the Gramin Dak Sevak recruitment.
Candidates are usually presented with a list of available posts in various regions, such as Branch Postmaster, Assistant Branch Postmaster, and Dak Sevak, among others. They need to enter their preference for these posts by assigning a specific number to each choice. The candidate should rank their preferred posts in numerical order, with 1 being the first choice, 2 being the second choice, and so on.
For example, if a candidate prefers the post of Branch Postmaster the most, they would assign “1” as the Post Preference Number for that post. If their second preference is Dak Sevak, assign “2” to that post, and so on.
Tips & Advice while filling up post preference number in PostOffice GDS 2023 Application:
1. Know your suitable Job work profile first. For example, if you like fieldwork choose ABPM Mail Deliverer post as your first preference & if you like office work then select BPM as your first choice.
2. Choose according to salary, BPM posts have a higher salary than ABPM but make sure that GDS BPM has more responsibilities & higher workload than ABPM
3. Always select the nearest post office first from your house.
